How can I determine if the Artwork is "Original" ?
Art in a Box works very closely with all our Artists to ensure that artworks are original and by NZ artists.

What if the Artwork I would like to buy is unavailable or recently sold - can I request a commissioned piece ?
Yes absolutely - quite often the unique style of a particular artist and their work is preferred. We will work with the artist to arrange the commission of a new art work that will meet your needs. Equally we can put in direct contact with the artist so you can discuss your needs personally with them.

I am in the process of redecorating my home / office and I need some professional guidance on some artwork for the completed works - can you provide this service ?
Yes our Co-Director Bernice is a qualified interior designer, as well as being one of our contributing artists she can work with you to assist with artworks that will compliment your décor / interior design as well as providing feature rich pieces that will provide a focal point.

I have an interest in photographic work that I would like printed onto canvas or alternative surface, can this be provided if I supply the image?
Yes we can facilitate the printing of the image in a variety of sizes and image styles, some images may need some manipulation to meet the customer's needs however we have professional image manipulation software to achieve this.

Can we work with you to commission some artworks specific to our company needs that will enhance our company space and reflects our ethos?
Yes absolutely, we will firstly need to understand a little more about your business, and the areas in which you would like to display these artworks. We will then identify our key artists with a complimentary style in the genre that you are interested in. We can discuss these options with you and the artists, and present you with some existing art or alternatively support you with commissioning new pieces that will meet your needs.

What are the benefits of joining Art in Box as an artist ?
Art in a Box is primarily about proving a portal for NZ artists of original artwork. As artists we understand the challenges of displaying and marketing our work when we really want to stay focused on the work itself. Art in a Box is designed to grow the audience of your works, understand elements of your artistic journey while at the same time providing the opportunity to present original New Zealand art to the wider community.

My portfolio is rather light at the moment, there are several pieces that are in progress but only two that are available for sale, how many artworks do I need to get some presence?
Your portfolio can contain any number of pieces, this includes those that you have sold previously and any current works. We are very keen for the wider community to gain a broad appreciation of your work whether it is available or not.

I am not very confident uploading images, or formatting images on the internet, how does this all work for me?
We upload all the images, all we require from you is the a clean image in digital form or an original photograph - along with information on the piece itself. The only other commitment from you the artist is to keep us updated as to the availability of your artwork. The idea is to make the journey easy and straightforward for you.
